About Drva
The Drva - Handmade Longboard Log Hybrid or as I like to call it LOGboard.

Humble Beginnings
About five years ago, while I was actively long-boarding I got an idea about The Drva.
It all started with a small unprocessed piece of chestnut branch (Figure 1). I Took the branch from the woods, then carved in the platforms for trucks in the wood and - bam - already on the road. It was an awesome feeling to ride a piece of unprocessed wood :) Immediately I saw flaws in the prototype and I decided to make it better. First problem was the size - it had to be longer for fast rides.

New Branch, New Look
And so I went back into the woods in search of another branch. Quickly found a tree that would suit my needs and I got two very nice logs from the tree. I Did a bit more processing on these 2 models by hand (at that time I didn't have many power tools for woodworking). Also one piece was burned with blow torch to give it a burned texture look (Picture 3).
After that, while I was browsing the internet, I have discovered mountain boards. I instantly wanted to try those trucks on my Drva. I found a local guy trying to sell a mountainboard, contacted him, got the trucks and wheels…voila bam! I was amazed on how awesome it is to ride stone cross country roads and downhill off road with it… But there was a problem, I had no brakes and with only my feet to break with, shoes were destroyed in couple of rides, BUT IT WAS TOTALY WORTH IT!

The Drva Mountain V1

Then the esk8 hype started worldwide and with no hesitation I started thinking about E-Drva! And now after 4 months of hard work, sacrifices ( no beer on Fridays, haha ) it was completed, parts to build it costed about 2K euro, with all the small pieces and without work included. But it was done and after a week of testing, the results are amazing!! Its a beast! You can check out the videos of me riding it (For more videos check out my YouTube channel The Drva).
